I also met up with old friends fromParis who welcomed me to the big apple with coffee and a walking tour Thank you guys :))! What canI say I am loving this big big big city you feel so small in this world, I missParis as well, but I am enjoying my time here :)

I always hated Facebook, my cousin always insist to open an account , I give it a try but that didn’t interested me so much, I don’t want to get in touch with stupid people from my school, I am always in contact with my university colleague, I don’t care where did you go last night if you are married or single, I don’t have time to look in the mirror, do you want me to browse your photo album!!! After like 3 months I closed it I hate this social media I really hate it, (so please stop sending me invitations to that Facebook old thing) what is IN now is Twitter, I’ve been on twitter like one year now and I am loving it, I can stay in contact with intellectual people following them reading them and try to figure out how they think it is really interesting , every morning when I open my computer I go there to see what my #tweeps #Tweet, sounds weird!!! It is the twitter language, if you like facebook don’t try it, if not you have to give it a try!

I’ve never dated a smoker because I never liked a guy that did smoke. I am not sure if it’s because I don’t like smokers,or none of the guys I was into happened to smoke, or if there is any difference between the two. Maybe if they had smoked I wouldn’t have been attracted? Impossible to know. I am not a smoker. Never have been, never will be. I couldn’t smoke during high school as I was a ballet dancer, and by the time I got to college it just didn’t seem like a big deal anymore. Smoking has just never really been on my radar; I know it’s bad for you, obviously, but if everyone knows that smoking is bad why you smoke????

Yesterday i went with some friends to watch the movie eat, pray, love as i am a fan of Julia Robert and i love her movies! i was not disapointed at all i loved that movie it is one of the best Julia's work !

The new resolution of this year is to learn Arabic this I promised all my Lebanese family and best friends, but I did not know it is a big headache, I took 6 sessions till now, but my language did not get any better, of course I know how to write my name and my family name say sabah el kheir ( good morning) and some basics and those six sessions did not add anything new to me except a headache, I want to thank my family and my best friend who encourage me to start learning Arabic and to start having a big headache and feeling like a stupid in a class where everyone is enjoying the course except me :(

In fact those are classical fake answers for a single 35 and up man ….its like they lived 35 years and up searching for the right one and they did not find it …come on guys ….

you want the real story, and after chatting with a 40 year old friend that I cant mention his name here, and many like him , the majority men over 35 single are afraid, yes believe me they are so afraid from the responsibility , oh yea they could be a CEO for a company a brilliant doctor, or a genius but they are afraid to lead a family… and the problem of that family…. in another hand there are so few searching for that big love but when they will reach the 45 or 50 and did not find it they will get married any girl just because they have to make a family oh yes they have to..

This is my opinion am not against a single man but please when you ask you why you are single just answer This

2- I hate responsibilities

Today I met the American Girl …oh yes she came from New York to my desk wrapped with a nice paper with a happy birthday card…oh yea you can laugh now ….I got this doll for my early birthday, and the problem is no sender name on it ….OMG a gift on my birthday fine.. from an unknown sender it is a déjà vue…. BUT A DOLL and from the USA !!!!!WHYYYYYYYYY? and what is the message from that gift! Now I will tell you a something when I got it I get upset but now here is the BIG PROBLEM I am loving this doll and she is sleeping in my bed ! When i was in my vacation, I saw this plant that I love but i never knew its name until i asked le maitre d’hotel so i google it to find out about that beautiful plant I guess my house will be full of it !

Chrysalidocarpus lutescens is a very common sight in the tropics and sub-tropics. It is often taken for granted but deserves more recognition and appreciation. Chrysalidocarpus can grow up to 20 feet tall, although it is usually smaller. Six to eight leaves on long petioles (leaf stems) arise from the main trunk and gracefully arch outward and downward. Each leaf has about 80-100 leaflets that are arranged on the leaf stem in a shallow V. The common name derives from the beautiful golden yellow color of the petioles.

The golden cane palm is native to Madagascar where, sadly, it is endangered and very rare. However it is very common in tropical landscapes around the world and is the most popular 'house plant' palm. Will grow in sun or shade but looks its best in bright diffuse light.

We live in a time where images of the Arab world are everywhere and nowhere.

All around America, every morning when we pick up the newspaper and each time we turn on the television, we see Arab faces, women and men dressed in a mix of Western and traditional Arab clothes; then we hear the reports from Baghdad and Kabul.

We cannot, for a minute, forget the Arabs’ identity, but, at the same time, we are totally removed from their experiences. We know and see so little of their cultures. In Europe, the impact of Arabs on everyday life is much more integrated, more visible and deep. Because of the continent’s history of colonialism — from the Ottoman empire through the expansion of French and British rule — Europe lives with the memory of political and financial domination, which also includes a few ironic reversals of fortune: the most exclusive neighborhoods and institutions in Paris and London are now largely Arab-owned.

In France, the speed of integration has been a political football for President Sarkozy, who has more than once called out the police to monitor head scarves in public schools. More positively, the actor Tahar Rahim was the main character in the French movie that won at Cannes, and the artist Adel Abdessemed had the best spot in François Pinault’s collection shown during the Venice Biennale. Indeed, Arab surnames are now part of mainstream French culture, and not just among inhabitants in far-off suburbs.

So it is no surprise, then, that French designers often look at the Arab world for inspiration, as they recently did in Paris. I am not saying that they do it consciously — I never think of fashion designers as sociologists or philosophers — still they have more sensitive antennae than most and, somehow, they are able to catch, usually subconsciously, the spirit of the times.

Some postcolonial references were already present in Milan in Donatella Versace’s collection and in a general trend for washed linen and light cottons in multiple layers worn over floppy pants. The look relied more on Peter O’Toole in “Lawrence of Arabia” and Tyron Power in “Beau Geste” than on any contemporary street fashion. Paris was different. How Arabs dress on the street made it to the runways.

Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy did it better then anybody else, leaving behind nostalgia and vintage references and looking straight into the eyes of modern Arab youth, mixing Western pop references — he was working on the costumes for the Michael Jackson “This Is It” tour — with graphic Arab prints, baseball hats, long-tailed shirts and sweats with punk tartan for a raw but sophisticated, Arab grunge look. Tisci is the youngest of the established designers in Paris, and he showed that he still has his fingers on the pulse of what happens outside the doors of the Avenue Montaigne atelier.

In his own collection, John Galliano traveled to the shores of North Africa but more in time than in space. Galliano always keeps moving but never leaves his own comfortable personal history. So, this time, the Galliano man was a French soldier, a Napoleon Bonaparte, visiting Egypt and sending home beautiful memories.

In the same day, Kris Van Assche raided the Arab wardrobe too and borrowed the djellabas, the long shirts and the roomy pants for a light-headed pastiche of voile and mussoline, losing along the way that strong masculinity that makes the Arab world so intense and opposite to our Western, almost unisex fashion.

Stefano Pilati at YSL and Rick Owens had their own deeply personal take on the trend. Rick Owens is not new to layering long T-shirts, shirts and jackets over pants of different lengths. His men always look like fashion soldiers, draped in mad, greige jerseys over heavy military boots. Pilati’s take is part of his ongoing research into redefining the canons of contemporary men’s wear outside the French tradition. Starting with the fabrics and following with his reshaping of the jacket, short and lean, and the pants, wide and high-waisted, he layered each garment on top of each other to create a metropolitan time traveler much in synch with the mood of the season.

Behind the surface of men’s fashion something is changing and, as different ethnicities melt into every neighborhood, so wardrobe elements from different cultures mix into our way of dressing. It is not only in President Obama’s Cairo speech that the change is showing but also in our attitudes and our clothes.
